I haven’t had an older Mustang for years. Got into the Falcons and now the 2011 GT500. With the 66 GT350 clone in the garage now it is a new day for me. Back to the days of parts and part searches. Picked up a pair of 65-66 Mustang front buckets today. On my 66 there is something going on with the drivers seat. Talking to a friend I was told that what I am seeing is a broken frame.
Do some searching on Craigslist and find a pair of seats ten minutes from my house. Turns out the owner is a fellow that I have met at some local cruises. Looked over his killer 69 Mustang drag car and did some bench racing. Caught up on a few of the fellows that I haven’t seen in awhile. It was a very enjoyable evening. Scored some parts that I needed and had some good conversation.
Taking some Gibbs out to him in a few days. Will make that drag car faster.
